Portfolio Manager Amelia Weir assumed co-management responsibilities on the Paradigm SMid-Cap, Small-Cap, and Small-Cap Value teams effective February 22, 2013. She replaces Portfolio Manager Jason Ronovech.

Portfolio Manager Jonathan Vyorst, who has co-managed the SMid-Cap, Small-Cap, and Small-Cap Value strategies since 2007, remains on the team to ensure consistent implementation of the investment process.

Prior to joining Paradigm Capital Management in 2008, Amelia was a portfolio manager with William D. Witter, Inc. and previously worked as an equity research analyst at Bear Stearns & Co., Inc. Amelia earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard College, where she graduated magna cum laude, and received her MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

“I’ve been managing small-cap assets since 2005, and I’m passionate about finding undiscovered value in high-quality small-cap companies with strong management teams and well-defined niche markets” said Amelia. “Jonathan and I have worked together before and we’re eager to apply our complementary areas of sector expertise on these strategies. We see a huge amount of opportunity in the small- to mid-cap market.”

The investment process and four-person analyst team remain consistent, and the portfolios will maintain the same construction and risk management guidelines. Paradigm’s Chief Investment Officer continues to supervise the strategy at a high level as she has since 1994.
